MPoC is a PCI security standard for payment acceptance on commercial off-the-shelf devices. It enables secure contactless and PIN-based transactions on Android smartphones without dedicated payment hardware. As the payments industry continues adopting software-based acceptance solutions, MPoC has become a key security standard for SoftPOS deployments globally.
By leveraging Visa’s certified KiC A2A framework, R2 POS meets MPoC requirements without the need for independent MPoC certification – reducing implementation effort and time to market.
For R2 POS partners, this means:
- Secure payment acceptance within a Visa-certified environment
- Support for both contactless and PIN-based transactions on compatible Android devices
